Blow out on the Jim Cunnigham

The semisubmersible drilling rig Jim Cunningham had major blow out in Red Sea June 2004.

While drilling at 3000m, the Driller had a problem balancing the mud flow across the shakers because of screen blinding. He was informed to reduce the pump strokes as mud was lost across the shakers, he replied that the mud pumps were already switched off. The rig was towed to Malta getting cleaned up!
